We experienced a natural phenomenon the other evening when millions of midges came floating up in clouds from the river. We're a good quarter mile from the water.
Wish I could have popped down to the river to see what was happening there, but I had to content myself with this view.
They look big enough in the photos to be caddis, but they were midges.
Pretty. I'll think about this the first time the snow flies.
