Pete Expands Our Knowledge of the World

My brother Pete is a world traveler, and was recently in Malta. He had a day and a half in Rome before his flight out to Zurich and then San Francisco. Since Rome is so last year, he opted to stay in the picturesque fishing village of Fiumicino, closer to the airport. It's right on the Mediterranean, and has a large fleet of fishing boats. I'm sure we're all interested in expanding our knowledge of Italian fishing boats.

It has bars and restaurants and very few locals who speak English. I'm sure we would find it interesting to expand our knowledge of Italian restaurants and bars where no one speaks English.

It also happens to have a five-star hotel, where Pete stayed. I'm sure we would all be more than happy to expand our knowledge of five-star hotels.

That five-star hotel has a pool, and that pool has sunbathers who follow the European custom in sunbathing. I'm sure we're all very interested in expanding our knowledge of customs different from our own.

And, since this is a fishing blog, I'm sure we're all interested in expanding our knowledge of traditional Maltese fishing boats. That would be this next photo, down here...
