I had lots of work to get done Friday. I didn't figure I'd get to do any fishing. But when the work was finished, at around 5:00, I was ready to do something fun, something relaxing, something rejuvenating. There are few enough activities in this life that can provide all that, especially on short notice, but now that the lake is open and conveniently close I can do one of the best of them. So I slipped away to catch some trout.
No big expedition. No complicated plans. Just a couple of hours to myself, a big dry on the end of the tippet, and lots of hungry fish to fool.
It was cloudy, it was cold, it was soon over--and it was just what I needed.

ReplyDeleteI don't think these are leopard rainbows, but I can't tell you exactly what they are. I need Brian Chan to help me with that. Love the spots, though.
