I, on the other hand, haven't wet a line since my last trip to the lake. A busy schedule and a bad cold and sore throat have conspired to keep me off the water. Such is life.
So I have spent some time at the vise where I am learning some new tricks.In the river behind the house, and right across from that eagle, is a deep hole. I have had those translucent depths in mind as I worked on these.
I'm feeling better. I think there is a good chance I can get out there with the eagles sooner than later. Meanwhile, the bottom has dropped out of our mild fall. It's 24 degrees as I write this, heading for a low of 16. Highs will be in the 30's for the next few days.
Oh well. As a wise man once said, such is life.
