It's an old story by now almost everywhere.
This is upstream just outside of town.
And this is at the bridge. There is no path down to the water; the water has come clear up to the top of the path.
The island has been three quarters covered. All of the gravel bars I fish around are under ten feet of water.
And of course there is no run under the bridge. That pylon is usually right at the river's edge, and the run swirls around it on its far side.
There has been no flooding around here so far. But maybe all of us could take a lesson from the swallows about where to build our homes.
