Dude, Check This Out: Alvin Lee and Ten Years After

I need to mark a milestone for my generation. Alvin Lee is dead at 68 after complications following surgery. He was the lead guitarist/vocalist for Ten Years After. The band formed in 1966. The name of the band referred to the ten years since Elvis had burst onto the scene in 1956.

They made some good music, including this 1971 anthem, their biggest hit.

And they entered into rock and roll legend on the night of August 17, 1969 with the performance of "I'm Going Home" on stage at Woodstock.

Thanks, Mr. Lee. Rest in peace.
