A Lazy September Afternoon

I finally got myself a new camera. I still have my trusty shock-proof-water-proof-cold-proof point-and-shoot, but it was time to learn how to use a for-real camera. You know, with lenses and stuff. I have a steep learning curve ahead of me, but I've gotten off to a flying start. The first real test will be the boy's first football game. I intend to document the season with high-end video and stills.

For now I'm practicing, so this afternoon I went out to the backyard and down to the river to play with my modest telephoto. The result is an inside look on a lazy September afternoon.
