"Look It Over" by Wendell Berry

From "The Sagebrush Sea" on Nature. Watch it HERE.

I leave behind even
my walking stick. My knife
is in my pocket, but that
I have forgot. I bring
no car, no cell phone,
no computer, no camera,
no CD player, no fax, no
TV, not even a book. I go
into the woods. I sit on
a log provided at no cost.
It is the earth I’ve come to,
the earth itself, sadly
abused by the stupidity
only humans are capable of
but, as ever, itself. Free.
A bargain! Get it while it lasts.

Ireland's Wild River

I'm sorry you missed this, if you did. It first aired on February 26. I didn't see it until last night when I dipped into my stash of previously-recorded programs.

It's superb. If I had known in time I would definitely have gotten the word out to all who love rivers. If I could, I'd post the whole thing now.

But here's the next best thing. Here's the trailer, and two clips from the film. And if you're fortunate, your local PBS station will do what mine does sometimes--replay this at a later date. I'd recommend you watch for it.
