Brookie Lake/Trout Lake Report: Better and Better

Monday is a wonderful day. Brookie Lake, already filling with weeds, but still full of bright brook trout who want a #12 muddler stripped fast.

Then Trout Lake, the north end shoreline. Fish all along the way, also wanting muddlers.

In the evening, to top it all off, Brown Drakes are popping. The fish are on them, and they'll take a brown muddler. Five fish come out of this hole as fast as you can get the fly back under the tree.

It just gets better and better.
